When you start submitting yourself for auditions, the first thing a Casting Director looks at is your headshot. They can tell in a split second if you have a look they want for a character, but it also tells them how serious you are about your career.
If your headshot is poorly lit, out of focus, oddly color graded, or looks unprofessional, they will most likely assume acting is more of a hobby than a career for you because a headshot is the first investment you should make as an actor. If they decide that, the odds of them looking at your reel go down significantly.
We recommend one of the best headshot photographers in L.A. We’ve worked with Bradford Rogne for several years. He’s always professional, and the final product is one Casting Directors will see and say, “This person is serious about acting.”
